I need to get some tires for my new (to me) Reynolds Stratus. I’m taking recommendations. I’ll use them for road racing and 4 or 5 tris this year with half IM being the max distance. I am about 180 lbs and will be riding a Guru Crono, if it matters. Opinions?

Hey Davidd…good choices all around…have a look at Toms set up for IMNZ (nice that he specd it all out for us) and see what he uses for sez ups. Sadly I’m no authority on the topic…I don’t race…I ride clinchers;-)

actually, he did specify (look under the crankset in the picture). conti competitions (700 x 22). with how he’s always carrying on about how good tufo’s are i wonder why he went with conti’s?
Tufo S3 Lites (195g) or the new Tufo Elite Jet (120g). Contis are good but they’re pricey and not any better than Tufo.
A guy at my LBS loves the veloflex criteriums. For RR they are the best. Conti Comps get used a lot too, but have not heard any first hand experience on them.
