I’m in Louisville, CO, on Comcast. Was checking my set-top box before I left for a run to ensure I was set to record Kona coverage. The listing for the 11:30A MST Ironman is no longer there for NBC. In it’s place are 3 :30 programs. My program guide is showing as all three set to record, but when I look in my “Scheduled Recordings” it shows a single entry for 11:30A.
Not sure what the heck is going on. I do know that my F1 Qualifying did not record this morning.
This absolutely could be an isolated issue, but figured I would share with the forum.
Comcast in Nashville, TN showed different program times on the online and onbox guides. Here’s what actually happened… I set the recording from 11.00-3.00p. It looks as if the onbox guide was correct - showing 1.00p-2.00p. So how do you make a 90 min program fit into a 60 minute slot? Well, just chop off the 1st 30 minutes. Which is what NBC did in my market. Kona started here at 1.00p CT and triathletes were already on their bikes… Outrageous.
Is that what happened?! I weaseled my way into a home with a tv, and thought I couldn’t figure out how to use it, then at 1pm, I tried one last time, and it was there! There was some cartoon on before that.
Yup, exactly. I guess that our local NBC station figured that they would get more complaints if they whacked the cartoon or the college football pregame show that followed. The sad thing is - they are probably right.
Not a bad show, I wish they’d show the racers times though.
Looks like they changed from the old style LCD-type clock to a digital display. I suspect the camera couldn’t really resolve it through the brighter light.
It may have not been the DVR’s fault. Comcast/NBC in Nashville just showed an hour of the 90 min show by chopping off the first 30 min. Universal Sports appears to have rebroadcasts this week. My 1st crack at recording the HD stream with a SD Tivo…
