NBA Finals

Wild game 4: largest comeback in finals history. Spurs blow a 29 pt lead. Knicks down by 20 in the fourth Q and go on an absolute tear to win by 1 in the last five seconds.

Knicks up 3-1 and ironically the last time the Knicks were in the finals was in '99 against the Spurs as well.

I hadn’t watched a full nba game before these finals since linsanity but this is incredible. I can’t believe that finish. Wemby can’t miss free throws for 3.99 games and misses his last two? That tip? Wild stuff.

Great games. Not a Knicks fan, but they a fun team to root for. Nice seeing Jay Wright and Jalen hugging it out.

And loving the best post-game show in sports. The Inside the NBA guys are pure entertainment. More Chuck.

Also. That was great and awful coaching respectively for that to happen.

That tip was amazing! And like you, I haven’t watched an NBA game in years. We watch a handful of WNBA games was season since CC burst onto the court. But my entire wife’s family are Spurs fans so this is exciting…except I’m a Knicks fan hah.

Every time I see Wemby I just keep saying he can touch my floor and ceiling at the same time…

I just can’t imagine the energy in the garden that fourth quarter. How the fuck do you blow a 29 pt lead?! Spurs were red hot early on.

Amazing coaching, as you said.

That play where he tipped it into the air then tipped it again was a joke. All the Knicks swarming and jumping but this guy can just play with the ball, by himself, at a higher altitude than the rest of the nba.

it’s also fun to watch a generational athlete who looks like it: Phelps, Bolt, Wemby, their dominance just makes visual sense. And then it’s even more fun when the other candidate for best player on the court looks utterly normal - wouldn’t get a second look on the subway.

As a fair weather NBA fan (and Nuggets fan), I nearly turned it off at half time. Glad I didn’t it. It’s fun watching a game like that when you don’t care who wins. Even my wife was tuned in (maybe to celeb spot, but still). How does a team go from surface of the sun hot, to … that? And vice versa. Crazy game.

My wife had heard of Wemby but knew nothing other than he was from France and freak of nature. She asked which was him. I told her to watch for a few and see if she could pick him out… took about 5 seconds … “The guy in pants who looks like an alien?” Yeah, honeybunny, that’s him.

I did turn it off at halftime. I woke up yesterday morning and saw a text from my son that said, “Wow! Just wow!”

I took that as the Spurs ended up winning by 50 points or something. I was eating a bowl of cereal and went to ESPN and finally saw the score. I had to look at it like three times because I just couldn’t believe I was seeing 107-106 Knicks.

I went to bed just after half time when the Spurs were up 29.

Woke up to my daughter screaming that the Knicks won. My wife stayed up with the kids.

We missed a good one!

There’s a definite buzz in NYC for the Knicks…

GO NY GO!
Knicks in 5!

The Spurs simply don’t know how to hold on to an early double digit lead.

It’s wild that the Knicks can just come back like this.

Have to hit their FTs.

Well they did it. Good for NYC.

Brunson is unreal and Anunoby is so clutch. Good for NY for sure.

Spurs led for 176 minutes. Knicks got 56.

Probably closer series than 4-1.

Made the right choice what to watch last night.

Brunson should get the key to the city. And free NYC pizza and bagels for life.

So many years that the Knicks weren’t competitive. It’s good to finally comeback. And how!

Spurs had a double digit lead in all five games… and lost four of them.
