Surprised that it took so long.

Surprised that it took so many attempts.

Fixed it.

Also, they excluded from the election that opposition figure who isn’t in prison who somewhat surprisingly looked to be garnering enough signatures to get on the ballot.

Very sad news.

So far, evil is winning.

Yeahbut have you seen how clean the streets are in Moscow? It will radicalize you.

Trump, tucker, mtg, sen & rep johnson useful idiots. Add marco.

Contrary to fox “news” reports, they are not remotely clean. But what really sways me is this little tidbit of fascinating information:

Took so many attempts because putin’s morons are the most incompetent boobs on the planet. They showed how navalny actually pranked his own assasins in this documentary (available on hbo, and a great flick):

If you and I, sitting in our individual homes far, far away from Russia and the struggles of people there, can feel in our hearts Navalny’s life and death, then there is hope.

I hope each of us does something today in honor of Navalny. He was interested in the law and justice. He investigated. He was communicative. He knew how to communicate with the youth. Let’s be a little bit like him today.

I saw the headlines, and I was expecting to read that he fell out of a window. But then thought he’s in prison and they can’t have windows to fall out of.

Collapsed during a walk. Right.

The term Potemkin Village is, of course, a Russian term. Of course Carlson visited Russia’s version of the Fifth Avenue shopping district, where the elite go. Carlson has always lived with the elite. He grew up in affluent San Francisco, and then affluent La Jolla, near San Diego. Then St. George’s boarding school. Then Trinity. He comes off as a dandy to me, even after he ditched the bow tie. Not sure why so many people view him as a “people’s man.”

Pretty sure he’s been in very poor health for a while, from poisoning(s).

I would like to be.

But he was a thousand times braver than me, he was a veritable superhero.

No, that is incorrect. When he returned to Russia, he had fully recovered from the poisoning. Going on daily runs in the snow even. His “poor health” was directly caused by the conditions of his immediate incarceration upon his return to the lion’s den (putin’s claws).

The video of him from yesterday would suggest he was well enough to make jokes, laugh and smile.

I very well may be wrong, but I thought I had heard Russia commentators talk about how moving him to these far off penal colonies would likely kill him from a lack of good medical care.

A dull blow struck the back of his head. It was long expected but nevertheless took him by surprise. . . . A second, shattering blow hit him on the ear. Then all was still. The sea rushed on. A wave gently lifted him up. It came from afar and traveled serenely onward, a shrug of infinity.

Saddest part of the documentary is his final weekend with his wife and kids. I forget where they were, but they were together as a family for last time leading into what was his destiny.

I don’t understand why he would go back to Russia. Did it accomplish anything? Wouldn’t he have been a more effective agent of long term change by staying alive, and vocal, from outside of Russia?

I suppose that Russian leaders could/would “leverage” his family if they were still in Russia. Maybe he sacrificed himself to protect them, at least temporarily. Otherwise, it seems like a waste of an important voice.
