Name your 5 best workout songs

I am clueless when it comes to music. i have a great set of workout songs but I am getting tired of it. i like upbeat stuff, like what they play at the IM. I need something to keep me going. so… Name your 5 best workout songs, include the singer’s name as well.

This is my pre-workout playlist so I’ll give you more than five : Hella Good - No Doubt Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood - Sta. Esmeralda - Kill Bill OST You Had Me - Joss Stone Ray of Light - Madonna Just A Girl - No Doubt Weapon of Choice - Fatboy Slim Battle Without Honor - Tomayasu Hotei - Kill Bill OST Rock is Dead - Marilyn Manson Vasoline - Stone Temple Pilots Give It Away - RHCP Come With Us - Chemical Brothers

Lenny Kravitz - Where are we running

The Donnas - Take it off

3 Doors Down - So I need you

Red Hot Chili Peppers - On Mercury

Jet - Cold Hard Bitch

Some Steve Miller Band (Take the Money and Run), some Queen (Another One Bites the Dust), Huey Lewis and the News, Maybe some Bluegrass, and of course the Rocky Theme Song! (and maybe Eye of the tiger)…

Definately an odd mix, but it gets the job done.

  1. The Warrior, Scandal

  2. Nasty Girl, Vanity Six (Marisol, betting you haven’t heard this one and won’t like it anyway)

3)The Bird, The Time

4)Showdown, Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five

  1. I feel for you,Chaka Kahn

6)Jump, Van Halen

  1. 1999, Prince

  2. The Bird, The Time

  3. Sound track from “Breakin”

Yeah, a little different, but it keeps me going.

  1. Guns n’ Roses: “Paradise City”–a classic

  2. Rolling Stones: “Shelter”–A bike racer’s anthem

  3. OutKast: “Hey ya”–yes, it’s a bit overplayed, but it has an excellent beat, and OutKast has something that I believe is sorely lacking in the music industry these days: They are innovative and different.

  4. The White Stripes: “Seven Nation Army”

  5. Pearl Jam: “rearviewmirror”–the best racing song. It’s where you want everyone else to be.

-C

dreams - van halen

where the streets have no name - u2

amazing - aerosmith

learn to fly - foo fighters

save me - remy zero.

all along the watchtower (Jimi Hendrix)
thunderstruck (AC/DC)
communication breakdown (LedZep)
Doo doo doo doo, heartbreaker (Rolling Stones)
This is how a heart breaks (Rob Thomas)

then there is also a whole bunch of dance and techno on my list…and because it shuffles it gives strange sequences…like Alex Ubago followed by ACDC followed by Jennifer Lopez followed by Hendrix…

I’m a musician and pretty finicky about the music I listen to. Have many different presets on my Mp3. I’m all over the map as far as genre. Here’s are the 1st (5) of the playlist tonight…each song has it’s purpose. For example…Superman was popular when I had my PR at IM, and it seemed appropriate at the time.

Big Country - Bela Fleck and the Flecktones

Mondo - Garaj Mahal

Numb - JayZ/Linkin Park

Perfect - Simple Plan

Something about You - Level 42

Not sure all 5 are my faves, but these are the first 5 that came to mind.

“Rock Superstar” - Cypress Hill

“Jump Around” - House of Pain

“Beautiful People” - Marilyn Manson

“Thunderkiss 65” - White Zombie

I don’t know guess I’m in a mood tonight because I also feel the need to endorse anything by Lords of Acid. Not for the easily offended or those turned off by sexually explicit lyrics. “I must increase my bust”, “Hey Ho” and “I sit on acid” come to mind.

My curernt MP3 player load:
Petrol - Orbital
Welcome to the pleasuredome - Frankie Goes to Hollywood (all 14min of it baby!)
She’s my pusher - Crystal Method
Bodyrock - Moby
Freedom - George Michaels
Where have all the good people gone -Sam Roberts
Poets - Tragically Hip
Denial Twist - The White Stripes
White Shadows - Coldplay
Stand up - Dave Matthews
Vertigo - U2
Even better than the real thing - U2
I am a man with constant sorrow - Soggy Bottom Boys
Zion - Fluke (Matrix reloaded ST)

I think that’s most of the kick-ass tracks, the ones I like best.

AP
