here is the newspaper story of my uncle’s murder. i just found out, as my mother just called me. someone broke into his house and beat him in the head with possibly a ball bat. i cannot believe this. my uncle was a very sweet and innocent person. mentally disabled, he was able to live on his own. he never married, but lived on a farm by himself. my mom visited frequently and took her dogs there to run on their childhood farm, where my uncle still resided.
this is very sad news. i remember him always so kind. it truly breaks my heart that someone would do this. i just feel sick, a hole is in my heart. thanks for listening.

A Lucasville area man is dead and Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said his office is investigating a murder.
Dead is Ronald (C. blanked out name) 67, of 631 Little Egypt Road.
“We got a call at about 12:18 a.m. Saturday morning and arrived at the scene of the murder at 12:30 a.m., a response time of about 12 minutes,” Donini said. “The victim owned property across the street from his house, and the tenant called us and told us he was injured and bleeding.”
Donini said they found him severely beaten.
“He had obviously been murdered,” he said. “He had been murdered in an extremely violent manner.”
Donini said his investigators speculate the motive probably was robbery. He also said there was no forced entry.
“We are not sure when the murder occurred, but we speculate around four hours before the body was discovered,” Donini said.
The sheriff, captains, detectives and other personnel stayed on the scene well into midday Saturday.
“We have not made an arrest yet, but we are continuing to investigate this purely as a murder,” he said.
