My new perfect breakfast food

oh, “power oats”, us nordic guys have eaten that for years before 50K races.

in a hotel, you are limited on cooking supplies, so we get the oats cooking…then crack the eggs right into the oats.

good to keep you fueled for 50K.

Virtually every week day AM starts with the same breakfast. I tire of the routine occassionally; however, efficiency of prep, and transition time out the door prevail.

Org. PB n’ honey on w-wheat, and my unorthodox double secret protein drink mix.

I’ve been doing a good piece of research surrounding carb and protein absorption rates, and bioavailability. This combo I believe enters and functions extremely well at the cellular level. I have another similar version for post-train recovery as well.
Serves me very well riding in Europe.

I just bought a flat of vanilla bean flavored muscle milk & oats by Cytosport. If you are anti-dairy, it won’t work for you, but it tastes decent and it doesn’t require any prep time (except a little hot water). I discovered I wasn’t getting enough protein in my diet, and this oatmeal adds 30 gms in an instant oatmeal. I like it when I’m in a hurry and in training.
