This is “just the S-Works model,” but I put eebrakes on her, so she’s just a few grams from being a McLaren.

Yours might actually be lighter in the end. I am going to try and weigh mine tonight. No custom paint on this guy.

right at 16 lbs. as pictured (with pedals, bottle cages and computer).

Of course you relize that the McLaren F1 if number five on the all time fastest car list now.

  1. Buggati Veyron Supersport 267mph
  2. SSC Ultimate Aero TT 256mph
  3. Buggati Veyron 253mph
  4. Koenigsegg CCR 241mph
  5. McLaren F1 231mph

I’ll take their MP4-27 over any of those on that list…

Yes, but the McLaren F1 is still a better super car than all of those.

It is a badass car. I saw two of them a few years ago on the McLaren showroom floor while in London. They had one in British Racing Green with the white stripe and a orange one. I’ll have to see if I can find the pictures that I took.

So nice! And yet… only so close to the pjorn win, but for the small ring fail.

What bar is that? Are those carbon clinchers?

Post updates along the way, please!

Shouldn’t you finish up your first bike before you start on this one?

Did I miss the finished build pics of the Martini?
Brad

I know! I knew it should be in the big ring and the 11. I just had to hurry. Life has really been getting in the way lately.

The Martini Shiv has been quite the ongoing saga as some of you know. It is now being sent back to the painter to get some of the nosecone clearance issues fixed and re-painted. Unfortunately this was already attempted once, and in a very poor manor, so I am getting it done right this time.

The McLaren will be a bike to ride, not a project bike, there is another bike on the way for that

It’s the Shimano PRO integrated bar and stem. You better be sure of your fit coordinates before you get one. It’s SUPER nice! And yes, those are 404 Firecrest carbon clinchers. I’m totally unworthy of this bike, but I’m old enough that I don’t give a … rip.

Any suggestions from people which bar and stem combo I should go with? Zipp Vuka?
