My little Boo Boo is going to the kennel this week :^(

I wish I could take little Trixie to Bristol this Thursday. My poor little daughter is going to the kennel, where I hope she makes lots of friends with the help at my Vet’s office. She might grunt at them, or attack their feet or hands, but will give them lots of kisses when she is being petted. But I am going to miss my Boo Boo.

What species?

She is a dutch dwarf. She has a little lightning bolt down the centre of her forehead, rather than the typically symmetrical white stripe through black. She also thinks she is a cat, as she attacks my feet, and she thinks she is a dog, as she grunts loudly and follows me all around. She also thinks that she can speak by moving her jaw around. Her ears are the most expressive I have seen from a rabbit.

She has been great joy, especially when we got her after my father-in-law’s funeral. I just hope that she gets the same respect she has earned from us at the kennel.

That is cool. I would love to have rabbit as a pet but I think my two cats, especially Cleo (the leader) would create enormous problems.

here is a twist…have a cat named Benny…who looks like a New Zealand red rabbit (he’s half Abbysinian)…and I recently had to put my cat Cleo to sleep:-(…it’s a small world after all…

When things change (hopefully, not for a long time), then you could consider a rabbit as a pet. They are not like cats, they are not like dogs- they are like rabbits.

I have had the most fun with rabbits. They are playful, grumpy, territorial, and social. All these things make me love rabbits.

Looking over at Trixie right now, and her posture is saying to me: “Daddy, I want to play NOW!!!” Can’t we race so I can show you how incredibly slow you are?"

That’s pretty sad. I don’t know what I would do if I lost Cleo or Socks. I guess I would just get other cats. But I am so accustomed to these guys, and them to me. It is really nice. Cleo follows me around the house and makes these odd little “squeeking” sounds. She is very expressive. She must be brushed at least once a day- if not twice. She is very particular about her hair. A fine cat with a ton of fight in her.

Socks is kinda dumb. Not much of a pro-active type cat. She is equipped with a full compliment of razor-sharp talons, to Cleos rear firing claws. So, should Cleo overstep her bounds, she is quickly given a swipe with a fully clawed rapier white paw from socks.

Cats are good.

yeah…miss my Cleo (aka boots) a lot…but she had been a sick kitty and I was selfish to not do it sooner…as for cats and claws…all of mine are fully armed (having seen first hand the process of declawing I will never ever have an animal declawed…every cat can be trained) but never use them except on each other from time to time
