Got my Giant composite from the shop yesterday. Rode 5 miles on it. So so smooooth. Bump? what bump? I didn’t feel it. Broken pavement feels like a ripple in the ride. Acceleration? Think it and it goes. Add pedalling when needed.
Comfy? Handles well? You bet, I took a nap on it for half the ride.
Good choice in a frameset? Damn skippy it is!!!
Are you riding it as a traditional road bike or are you set up in more of tri position? How do you think it would handle a tri position?

I really like mine but like my trek 5500 and I have them set up EXACTLY the same measurement wise. Some “roadies” kind of dog mine since it is a “Giant” carbon bike and not a Colnago for example but suspect if they ever rode the Giant might feel silly since the ride would be nearly equal if not as good for a fraction of the price and lighter to boot. I’m not dogging the colnago bikes, just the group that rides that class of bikes in my area.
I’m patiently waiting for the composite TT frame from Giant, even though I’m right between a M and L and might have a hard time on a TT set up.

I have it set up for road to answer the earlier question. Can’t wait to finish painting so I can go ride it more than 5miles.

That is not1,not2, not3,not4,not5,not6,not7,not8,not9,but 10 gears of liquid speed poured all over a slick blend of CARBON. Oh and did I mention… 16pounds with pedals and two water bottle cages?..IN A LARGE! Just for fun I built it up with Nokon polished aluminum cable housing. What a beauty. And it rides like something out of my dreams. Definitely something to check out at your LBS. (Local Bike Shop)
can you guys tell me what brand of bar tape came on your composite giant bikes??? i love that tape…it’s not cork feels kind of like a soft rubber…would that be gel??? i want that tape what do i get???..by the way it is such a beautiful bike…
