The past 2 months, the power button has become less responsive until finally it won’t turn on. Today, I plugged it into the charger (because sometimes the charger will switch it on) but a crazy screen came up with lots of random numbers and it started buzzing…and buzzing…and now it’s been 2+ hours and still buzzing. It also started to cycle through this animated pattern on the screen (like tv color bars) before turning into a dreaded “X.” Is there a magic sequence of button presses that will stop its death rattle?
Is my watch dying?
If so, any suggestions for a new watch? I didn’t seem to use the bike/swim features much at all on this one.
Clever training has their 20% off sale right now and Memorial Day should have sales. I have my Garmin 920xt still. Haven’t used a run specific watch Iin awhile so can’t give you advice there
Did Chatty70.3, saw the race data in my history so it did save it, got home to sync and it made a bunch of weird beeping then erased 3 weeks of activities.
I’m ready to ditch the 910 and the Vivoactive and just get the new 935.
My 910xt is having similar problems with the power button (it has long been out of warranty). Garmin has offered me 20% off a Forerunner 935 if I trade in the old 910xt on it. Seemed like a reasonable deal to me - new unit should be here by the weekend.
