Phase 2 of the experiment would be to add GoPro

/nominate for post of the year and innovative use of triatholon toys for non-triathlon use of the year.
I think he needs to upgrade to a 310xt to actually be using a triathlon toy, what happens if she goes swimming with the 205 on?

“Phase 2 of the experiment would be to add GoPro”
that was actually going to be phase 1. that was my first idea. but i couldn’t figure out how to rig it. then i thought about the gps, and it all came together.
i love the random zigzagging these dogs do, which to them isn’t random at all. i’m sure they have very good reasons for each course decision. you wonder what goes through those little brains of theirs.
I’m guessing that infinite loop is similar to the one I took at Honu this year. Run a couple miles then sit down under a tree for 20 minutes. My Garmin file looked exactly the same.
This looks like my swim pattern last race…
Dan, this is hilarious! I recall hearing about a guy who mounted a camera to his roaming cat, this is a link to that project: http://www.mr-lee-catcam.de/index.htm
The cat “took” some funny photos along the way, very entertaining.
"you wonder what goes through those little brains of theirs. "
smells mostly, I suspect… there was probably a wild turkey or something out there by all the zigzags, gabby was trying desperately to get a good clear trail…
this fall I’m going to put the GPS on Artie when we hunt, suspect he’s doing 20-30 miles/day through heavy brush…

This is a great thread, Dan. A few yeas ago my elderly neighbor’s beagle got loose and was running the neighborhood having a great time. As beagles do, he had his nose to the ground, running around and savoring all the smells he could find. He would find a smell, stop and let me get just so close before he’d bolt away and to the next smell. He finally he came across a smell too irresistible that he couldn’t pull himself away from it. As I approached and caught him he had this look of resignation,as if to say “it was all worth it!”
