Since I am not in love with any of the P1 paint options, I thought I would give it a whirl myself to see what I could come up with. For starters, I was trying to recreate Lieto’s color scheme from Kona…I am by no means an expert at this program, just starting to use it. Sorry for the rectangle in the middle of the page, not sure where that’s coming from…
This a great thread. I hope some people show some paint options that they like. I remember someone taking about how bad the new paint on the Cervelos were this year.
What manufacturer, do you think has the best overall paint for their bike lines this year?
IMO, I would leave the speed concept lettering off of it. Make it a little different than the others that are going to be out there. I like the color scheme.
I really like the olympic rings one. I love that scheme on the S3 and again here.
I also really like the black with green plasma painted on the speed concept from the project one thread…I’ll edit with the link or if someone wants to link to it in a reply.
wow
these are both way better than what’s available on P1
is it a big deal to get frames custom painted? with all the “integration” on this bike i’d be afraid that a after-market job may hurt the setup.
Thanks. The second creation you can easely make by using custom made stickers. You can also chose to wrap the bicycle instead of painting it. Then you don’t lose your warrenty and can always rip it of if you want…
How about hot rod flames (but not the yucky green trek ones) white ghostish flames on red background with white wheels to look like whitewall tires? hehehe
I think you should add more instances of “TREK.” The clone tool works great. That way, if you ever forget what kind of bike you are riding, you can just look down and be like “Oh, yeah. Right, it’s a Trek. I forgot.”
I wish i knew who to do that!! I’m looking at getting a Speed Concept and want to get a paint job matte black like the Spartacus edition except with the big Trek logo across the top tube in a dark matte grey and then maybe a outlined trek logo on the fork similar to what the newest Look 596 has…
