Has anyone used a compex or similar stimulator to help aid in recovery? I’m curious to know if its worth the money
In my opinion it’s worth it, but only if you use it consistently and in the right way.
I have a teems unit and it does helpnrelax the muscles after use. But I have been told if it seems like I hurt because of shin splints or stress fractures not to use it. I have been wanting to try it around my clavicle but since it is scar tissue holding it now I think I might do more harm then good. I am going to consult with my doctor before using it fo that one.
its worthless
.
Why do you say that?

Have you tried strapping it up to other body parts? Might be fun.
I have used a Compex muscle stimulator for the past 5 years. Absolutely works with recovery. Absolutely works with injury recovery. Increases blood flow and helps flush out waste. They have been used by rehab professionals for years.

I knew the reply before I looked ;0)

I have a ~$75 one that my mother-in-law gave me for Christmas and I use it on my shoulder and elbow (injured both last March). I didn’t pull it out of the box and start using it until about a month ago, and I love it. It’s really improved my range of motion in my shoulder. I can move it farther without the sharp pain I feel before I use it.
I have the Compex, really like and feel like it works. The best test came at Triple T this year, used it to recover between races and felt ready to go for each one.
