Is there a way to have multiple steps in one repeat when making a working through Garmin connect… ie 4x (2 min hard 3 min east, 3 min hard, 2 min easy). It seems that Garmin just defaults to repeats with two steps… thanks!!
On the watch go to workout screen.then go to custom. Then I put your workout.
through the watch is even more complicated… and time consuming. Unless I’m missing something obvious (most likely) it would appear that you can only do a repeat with a set work/rest interval. I cannot make a repeat that has multiple combinations of work/rest and with different times…
Whole lot easier through the website
Use the Add Repeat on the side then add your segments and you can drag them into the repeat

Just takes a couple of minutes…I do it frequently.
Thanks… yes I was/am doing it through the online portal. I had been attempting to drag in additional steps, I must have been giving up to easily with it not being dragged into the repeat. Tried it with a bit more patience and was able to set it up without additional problems.
Thanks!!!
To me it looks like you can do mult-step repeats in running and bike workouts but the same functionality does not work in swim workouts.
Garmin - Please add the functionality of adding steps into repeats for swim workouts!
Perhaps the garmin forums would be a better place for requests.
I posted there too; I’m borderline desperate for this feature
maybe there is a chance the post will do some good in here. who knows.

Putting in ladder repeats is a real pain.

How this is not available by now is beyond my comprehension. It’s like whoever coded their stuff has never actually swum with workouts before!
