Starting to think on 2024 and current plan is more Olys and halves around camping etc. I have always also really liked events over a weekend where you can do an event on Sat and Sun, especially when they have a category for that. Similar to American Triple T but sad to hear that isn’t likely happening next year.
So looking for anything like this on the East coast as we will likely stick to towing the trailer on this side of the country but anybwest coast events be cool to hear about.

Back in the day, there was the Lake Tahoe 3-day triathlon. You chose from a few distances for swim on Friday, bike on Saturday and run on Sunday. I used it to ramp up in 2007 for my first full Ironman race the following year by swimming 2 miles, biking 89 miles around the lake and then running the marathon on Sunday.
These days, they’ve jettisoned the swim and bike portions of the weekend festival of events but have multi-day run events October 18-20, 2024. More here: https://www.laketahoemarathon.com/

They have sprints on Saturday, “Quarterâ€/70.3 on Sunday and a category for multiple events IIRC. The quarter was 1000m swim, 29ish mile bike and 6.4 mile run.
This year was my first time and loved it. I’m already signed up for 2024. Water was warm, with non-wetsuit. You can swim the course pretty much whenever you want. Bike is rolley/hills, but not really too tough. Run is basically flat.
Smaller even than an IM, but big enough. Vendor area was better than most. Not as large as an IM branded event, but several vendors. Good food after the event.
There are a lot of cabins or VRBOs to rent, and I have rented campers in the area (they’ll set them up and take them down).

The is also the venue for the USAT NE Collegiate Conference Championships again in 2024 as well as the NYS HS and AG Championships.
