Movie Quote

A SoCal radio station, KROQ, is trying to find what movie this quote came from, “What are you going to do, spoon me to death?” I think it comes from a Friends episode. Any other guesses?

The Whole 9 yards, The Whole 10 yards and Mystery Men are not correct.

I love boss free days.

It was said to Hank Azarias character in “Mystery Men” I believe.

Nope. They played the clip from the movie. There was only one reference to a spoon and it didn’t include the quote.

Damn, I just watched that awful movie the other night.
This must be big today because if you do a google search on it it seems to be quite a popular search thread today. Most of the answers are Mystery Men (my guess) or the Whole Nine (or ten) Yards.

Let me know what the answer is when you hear it.

is that from the jane austin book club movie?

maybe chuck and larry

It might be from Aladdin.

Valley Girl. Oh wait, that was gag me with a spoon…

Wasn’t there a line something like that in Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

Bernie

Yeah, when the knight loses his arms and a leg. I think you might be right.

Hmmm…I don’t really care much for spooning but I really like forking.

Here’s an audio link for the station’s website.

No, that would be “What are you going to do? Bleed on me??”

One of my all time favorite lines is in Tombstone when Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russel) slaps the bad dude in the face and his nose starts to bleed. Earp looks at him with a steely gaze and says, “Well…are you gonna do something or just stand there and bleed?” Classic.

There is also a line in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves where the guy says something to the effect, “…or I’ll take your heart out with a spoon!”

Not the same…I know.

After listening to the link, the problem with this is if the people who are asking the question misremembered the quote in the forst place then everyone is running round on a wild goose chase. Having said that, it does sound somewhat familiar…

“… because it’ll hurt more, you twit!”

Bwahhahahaha!!

Sorry. Robin Hood falls on my list of “so bad it’s good” movies…

For some reason that scene always reminds me of Alan Rickman in Dogma…“What are you going to do, hit me with that…FISH?”

I can almost 100% guarantee that it’s misremembered. If thousands of people hitting google searching for it can’t find it in an hour, it doesn’t exist in that form.

It is one of those perfect Saturday afternoon cable movies. You can walk away from it easily!

Same actor. He also does a very good villain in Quigley Down Under…

Yeah, and it’s just good enough (and with enough good SUPPORTING actors) that you don’t quite feel like it’s 2 hours you’ll never get back…
