I’m trying to find the best way to mount a pump to my road frame, and can’t seem to come up with a good solution. I need both bottles, and the rear brake cable runs under the top tube. I’d rather not mount it to the side of either of the cages – both an aero and aesthetics fail. Suggestions?
Pump straps, put it on the seat tube. Or stuff it into the saddle and have it stick out the back (also strapped in).
get a smaller pump that’ll fit in a seat pack, get a longer pump (frame pump),put it in your jersey pocketget the velcro straps and strap it to the back of your seatpost
If you don’t like any of these options, always ride with a friend who carries one.

Try under your down tube. I’ve put mine both there and under my top tube. I prefer it on the down tube as it doesn’t get in the way of the handlebars when I toss my bike in the car.
How long and fat is the pump? Depending on the size, if it’s small, it might easily fit in a Speedpack. Here’s our pack dimensions (near the bottom of the feature list).
i prefer jersey pocket, but if you want a frame mount, the topeak micro pump includes a bottle mount ($32):

Not!
Get a CO2 injector.
Mine fits under my saddle between the rails and seatpost head.

Try mounting it on top of the top tube between your legs. Has minimal aero impact here. I use these Zefal pump straps.
