Mother of God.... the PBR "Family Pack"

Not sure I would wish 99 cans of PBR on my worst enemy… but for those who don’t care, knock yourself out.

I might buy that for my brother-in-law’s family for Christmas just for entertainment purposes.

How would you carry that?

I confess, I used to drink PBR when I was a 2Lt in the USAF. It was cheaper than buying name brand sodas at the shoppette that was across the street from my BOQ. Good times.

Me likey!

Nothing like a cold PBR in a hot shower!

Where there is a will, there is a way. The internet has your solutions:

Now I want to know what they made the carton out of, damn thing would weigh 80+/- lbs.

Sounds like you have reason to get one and report back. Good luck.

Just in time for some good Thanksgiving day family feuds. Pass around the PBR and commence the brawling.

It’s water with a few drops of alcohol…

I don’t think I have ever had the canned stuff, but, there is nothing better than the little 10 oz tap pours of PBR! Ice cold and in rapid succession! There is a little neighborhood bar down the road. Wifie and I will hit it for PBR tappers on hot summer days. I thought the “PBR shorties” was a Wisconsin thing, but, my son (who lives in Vegas and loves PBR shorties) found a townie bar just off the strip that sells $1 PBR shorties.

And its a rectangular box 2 beers wide, so why an odd number of beers? Is there a cardboard filler? A bonus 100th PBR? The mystery is calling.

Ahh, 3 beers wide. One of life’s mysteries solved.

I also like a lager once in a while, and PBR will do just fine. The beer snobs want to assume that all lighter color beers are “pisswater” and undrinkable. They are brewed to that lighter color for a reason.

The way I heard it explained was that we have so many lighter colored beers like lagers and pilsners is due to the European descent of the early brewers in the US–like Germans. That’s what they liked and they knew what “good” beer was.

Frank Booth would approve.

Yeah but there is still a difference between a good Pilsner or lager and some of the American piss.

Bowling alley near where I grew up served those for 95 cents. On league night we would always keep the change from a buck and pay for the 20th one with all nickels.
Yes this was in the upper midwest.
Yes we thought it was awesome.
Yes the waitress probably hated us.
Good times

No doubt, but, come on, there are a lot of good American pilsners and lagers.

That said, I will never understand this - Go to a Packer game. They have Leinies on tap, Blue Moon on tap, and a local microbrew on tap, and guys are walking around with jumbo cans of Miller Lite.

Even worse - Go to a Brewers Game at Miller Park. Just behind my seats, they have 20 local beers on tap and guys are walking around with jumbo cans of Miller Lite.

Serious, WTF???

We used to do Friday night rides starting from a neighborhood dive bar, sitting outside and drinking beer afterward. At $4/pitcher, it was damn near impossible to pass up PBR on hot summer nights. It’s objectively not a great beer, but there’s something pleasant about it when the sun is beating on your neck & you’re trying to cool down, and especially at that price point.

When I was in college, we had a bar in the student center on campus that served PBR on draft. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I had a class end about 3:00 and my next class (business law) didn’t start until 6:30. My professor was a local attorney, he would join us around 5:00 and we’d drink before class. Good times.
