That diluted cranberry juice sounds delish. I like cranberry juice, and I like water. Ocean Spray sells sparkling cranberry juice that I buy on occasion.
Smart water is my absolute favorite drink. I’m addicted to it, and I am morally opposed to bottled water. I think others are addicted, too. At Costco last week, I exchanged troubled glances with a guy buying a case of smart water. It’s embarrassing but, damn, it’s good!
After bike commuting home, 2 hours in 90-100 degree temps, an ice cold Leinenkugel Summer Shandy. It was always gone before I walked from inside the garage into the house.

YES, guy. As a proud son of Wisconsin, I support those who support Leinie’s. I was skeptical of shandy drinks until the last few years, but the folks in Chippewa Falls convinced me. And the basic Leinenkugel’s was the beer of my misspent youth…I still like a pitcher of it with friends while watching a sunset on Lake Mendota when I get back to Madison.

Oddly, I also love warm Gatorade. Red or original toxic yellowish flavor, left in a gym bag in the sun on the side of a soccer pitch for 90 min…fekking delicious. Harks back to my high school and college sports days.

Lemon squash. Preferably Solo from a very frosty can. Used to sail a lot as a kid and cracking one of those after 5 hours of salt water and sweat was the stuff of dreams. It’ll rattle the teeth right out of your head, though.

Add me to that fan club. I’ve done thousands of miles of bike touring in Mexico, some of it in quite warm weather, and an ice-cold Coke (made with cane sugar, in a glass bottle) is absolutely the pinnacle of refreshment. Until the riding is done, of course, then an Indio lager is the way to go.
Non-alcoholic: Cold fresca.
Alcoholic: Fresca, tequila & ice.
Plain old cold water for me. Preferably out of a mountain stream. I genuinely just really like water.
