Getting back out there on the tri bike and not loving my saddle.
I prefer traditional seat style, the ITM saddles I feel like I am always falling off the nose.
I prefer firmer all around= recommendations?

Fizik Transiro aeris long distance perhaps?
Would say the same for aeris LD. Got it since 1 year and it’s my favorite since my 7 years with a tt bike.
It also come with the aeris link for the bottle behind the saddle. With it it’s also offer good value for the price
I’ll third the Transiro Aries LD. Have tried most TT saddle and never come close to being this comfortable for 3+ hours in the TT position
I should add, I was recommended it and all it’s measures would indicate that I would like it but I just didn’t… It felt hard and too narrow in the front (despise the same width as my current very old Bontrager Hilo RXL, I guess since my current one is so soft it squishes out wider)
But many others like it!
anyone try the adaptive version? I usually find the split saddles less compared to one solid nose.
I use one, took a few rides to dial it in, but I love it now
Yeah, its awesome. I use it on my road/gravel bike, but i would be pretty happy with it on a tt bike as well
I just grabbed the Gebiomized Stride saddle per recommendation from Matt Bottrill’s YouTube channel. He states it works for 8/10 of the athletes he bike fits. I love it so far!
I second the recommendation for the Gebiomized Stride. I learned about it from reviews on Slowtwitch a couple of years ago. Very comfortable.
Some quick side by side comparisons
Are most people buying a few on-line and returning the ones that dont work out? Local tri shops only have so much it seems like.
Another vote for Fizik Transiro Long Distance, I have a Short Distance too which did not work for me. Also the Selle Watt was great for me.
Can’t comment on the Fizik, never tried that one. I have a notoriously sensitive bum and so far the least painful (specifically chosen wording) is the Sella Italia Watt Superflow. Just eyeballing the Fizik, it and the Watt look extremely similar.
I have all three: Watt, LD, and SD. The LD is fairly similar to the Watt in size, and has a quicker taper than the Watt. The Watt is a bit more “squishy” and also grippier.
I find the quicker taper gives me a better defined place for my pelvis and it more or less doesn’t need the grippy strips. I do wish it was the same durometer foam as the Watt.
