Pretty simple question:
What’s the most durable jammer out there for lots of swimming? I want a jammer that will last a year swimming four times a week. What fabric should I look for? Any recommendations?

The Endurance stuff lasts forever but the fit will likely be different as it’s thicker and less stretchy than lycra.
I just buy lycra stuff on clearance these days. Rinsing it out after every swim increases the lifespan a lot.
just use drag shorts. those jammers don’t last very long.
Second the polyester recommendation (for jammers anyway, not dress suits)
The Speedo Endurance line is great and have two jammers that have weathered a full season in rotation with some lycra suits with virtually no thinning or wear. By comparison, I’ve a couple nylon/lycra suits that are almost see-through in the same period of time.
Try them on a store as they tend to fit a bit funky. The thighs are tight and the cuff even tighter.

Speedo Endurance or Dolfin with Choroban. They last a long, long time. Might want to size up since they don’t stretch as much.
I’ve had great results with my TYR jammers (100% polyester.) Like someone else noted, go one size up.
Speed “endurance” is much heavier, I have used mine for 18 months of 10k+ swim weeks, I just tore the liner out of them because it was ripping, but I’m still using them, in fact, as soon as I quit wasting time here on ST, I’m gonna go use them.

When you say fit differently, are you still in the same size and are they the same length(approx) as the regular speedo jammers?
I switched to the TYR DURAFAST POLYESTER Jammer this year in training for IM KY and it held up great (no fading, no stretching, nothing)…swam at LEAST 3x week…the tyr logo fell off the 1st day, but I recommended it to my buddy as he was training and his logo stayed on and he didn’t have any issues either…you cannot go wrong with this short…I actually raced under 1:12 at IMKY with it then changed into appropriate bike/run gear.
