Most aero TT brake lever

Hello ST´ers, I changed my Vision aluminum basebar for a Easton Attack carbon non adjustable version and the brake levers won´t fit. So I am in search of new TT brake levers and I was wondering which ones are the most aero. I was thinking maybe the Sram TT900 or the Control Tech Al Carbon TT or the Profile ABS Carbon Aerobrake have less drag, according to my eye drag tunnel, than many others. What do you fellows think? Any other brake lever I mist out?

I’m pretty sure there has been a thread on this, but I am in the same boat. Just got a Easton Attack and I have TT900. Waiting for the bars to show Thurs. to test the brake levers. I’ve read somewhere that they fit. I will know soon.

The vision levers need an adapter to work with non-vision basebars.

The 3t aero brake levers would also be another great (light, minimal, relatively inexpensive) option. It fits larger diameter tubes too.

The profile death levers looked pretty aero. Peter Reid had some. http://www.velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx?ID=e3d2760a-5ddc-464c-b35b-0d0604a4c809&Enum=118

+1 on the 3Ts (just installed a pair). Super light (69g for the pair), and a rounded “nosecone” upfront instead of a flat face.

I live in Argentina and there are many things that are not available here, I think adaptors is one of them.

Best choice are those 3T shown in the photograph.

Just be careful when tightening the screws that fasten them to the aerobar. I made the mistake in a hurry to let a mechanic install the brake levers and cables and when I returned I found the bike with some generic brake levers installed. Por mechanic he really had a worried face.

I left an extra pair in San Diego, CA but I doubt you are near there.

Suerte en las carreras!

Any idea if the 3T levers would fit on a Vision alu basebar?

They seem like the perfect meld between an aero brake lever like the Vision levers, but with a return spring that hopefully prevents the lever from rattling.

I don’t know for sure, but my guess is no. You would probably need a shim to get the 3t brake lever tight on the vision basebar.

Those things are terrible. They can pinch your hand, have lousy leverage, and only work in one direction (as opposed to any direction like the old quick stop II). They are also big and clunky; especially when you hold them in your hand. I tried to modify a set to make them ‘better’ but decided that I would just go with a 3T ventus with integrated levers which I got a screaming deal on.

Hence the nick name, but I used them in every TT and Tri I did for a decade, including a few hilly ones in the rain. My theory is they made you faster because you had to corner fast.
