I ran a marathon yesterday and today I can barely move. It is to the point I am thinking of calling in sick to work tonight because my job requires I sit in my car and occasionally be on my feet and there is a possibility I may need to run after someone. This isn’t my first marathon / long distance race and other than my first IM 6yrs ago, I have never been this sore / stiff. Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to loosen things up? I got the post race massage, ice bath etc, and have another massage scheduled for tomorrow. Does anyone have any secrets they use to feel better sooner? I am open to any suggestions.

Naproxen Sodium. Water.
ice bath. or if you can alternate hot tub/ice bath. And go on a couple 5 min walks. Do that a couple times and hydrate, take some alleve (Naproxen). Will help significanly.
