Nice pictures!
Great pics thanks for sharing.
Thanks as always for posting. Terrific layout, great captions, great photos. Makes it easy to see the top racers in action.
Thanks for the nice pics.
Fantastic photos. Thank you for sharing them!
Sir, I’m not sure who you are and one day I’d like to meet you to thank you in person for the photos you post here. It was really unpleasant to miss Hawaii this year and these photos along with the others from events around the world you’ve posted are a lot of fun to look through. You’re also an excellent photographer so your perspective is much appreciated.
Thank you.
Great shots.
Note, that that US also had 2 of the top 10 men - Potts & Lovato.
Thanks for the feedback, and to all the others above also.
Another ST person pointed out a big typo on the page to me also.
I didn’t take any of the photos on this page but do spend alot of hours sourcing/selecting the photos and trying to set them out in a good display.
The mistakes will be fixed and a few new photos will be added in the next day or so which should improve this event page a bit.
Have every intention to get to Kona someday and also to photograph a few more big races a round the world.
Aside from the above, there are so many people with decent digital cameras out there snapping away at the big events and they usually manage to capture some of the most interesting moments. It is sometimes about being in the right spot rather than having the best gear/technique.
Will post again here when the page is improved.
By the way I still have a few ‘zoot’ tri-suits for sale, which you will see in the ST classifieds, or by clicking on clothing on my website.
Thank you for the pics. Great perspective.
Aloha,
Matt
Thanks.
Have split the page into two and have finally got it looking alright. Unfortunately i didn’t get many images of the top woman competing at Kona this year, which is a shame considering they always attract a certain amount of attention.
Understand the ST team will have some more photos of the top woman competing up soon though.

Am starting to think ironman/long distance triathlon is the hardest sport out there to acheive in as an elite.
I like the photos as they freeze the action to look at the detail, but I will be searching youtube to try and find some video clips of Kona also.
G.
hey Turq, note taken, heres one for you to take, back to back for the aussies
.
Ruley - we’re just letting you folks from downunder catch up to make it fair for 2009.
If you add N.Z to Australia you have 1st and 5th in the top 10. That is from a population totale of 24million.
That compares to the USA total poulation of 305million.

Not bad going for Australiasia when you think of it like that. And yes we are different countries but we have reciprocal visas so can start work after getting of the plane. In fact Emma Snowsill was born in N.Z, so she is welcome back anytime also.
