so my garmin was intermittantly turning itself off and i couldnt figure out why. Now i know, on my run today the “front” and “back” pieces totally separated and so the back that was attatched to the band stayed on my wrist and the front fell on the ground! I picked it up and pressed them together and then the thing worked again…but its obviously quite loose now. Its about a year old…and i dont think i have the receipt…anyone else have this happen? do you think garmin will fix this for me?
I’m going to have to have mine shipped in soon. What I’ve read is that you ship it to them, and they’ll repair it or give you a refurbished unit at a good price.

what happened to yours?
Particularly nasty expansion joint on a bridge caused it to jump from the quick release. Twice. The second time I was trying to hold it in.
It still works, but will shutdown occasionally. I’m planning on using a rubber band between the “arms” of the quick release, to help secure it.
