Signed up for the above but have yet to reg for a hotel. I went online and could not see what the host hotel was? Just a few questions for those who did the race last year:
Does it fill fast? When should I book?
Better option? Sounds like it literally is next door to the start so going with the host hotel is the way to go.
Thanks!
They are all more or less next to teh start line or within 2 km …
There are plenty of condos or cabins for rent if you are going with some others. Better option, lots of space and cooking facilities. They don;t usually fill up that quickly as it is a ski resort so there are plenty of options
There is really no host hotel - there are 10 to 12 hotels that are within a 5 minute walk in the pedestrian village. They will fill up because the race is on a holiday weekend here. Lots of options but you will have to book at least 2 nights min. Go to www.tremblant.ca to make reservations - it’s the official central reservation system. Best to book something in the “Pedestrian Village” area to be closest to transition and finish line as well as all the bars, Restos and stores. Most have at least a mini kitchen and many have a full kitchen. Really unique race site thanks to the pedestrian village so enjoy it!
We posted this shot of Mont-Tremblant a while back, as you can see many of the hotels are right at transition so you cannot go
wrong with any of them. Many might be sold out so your best bet is to go on the Ironman Mont-Tremblant web site and click the accommodation link.
Not sure what your requirements are for lodging, but I reserved a private room in a hostel through this website (http://www.hihostels.ca/quebec/176/HI-Mont-Tremblant.hostel) in Lac Moore (only 3.5km from the village) for much less than the lowest rate in the village. The hostel has a full shared kitchen for use in the basement and our room has a private bathroom. Not sure if this is something you might be interested in, but if you’re looking for lodging on the cheap, this would be the way to go.
