Gregory Taylor 01:02:36 05:05:47 03:22:27 09:37:20

Damn fine race for all. Congrats Joe, maybe we’ll see you this weekend at the GFT? And wait…did Kevin and Joe beat Gregory on the bike? Noooooo tell me it isn’t true. Amazing consistency in run times, that’s impressive in it’s own right.

Jon Appel…have not heard that name in awhile…and yes Kevie can be a real butt head…Chris Tanner called him “Kevie” once and Kevin gut punched him…

i have a few moats stories. 1990…i was having my best year and had beaten kevin twice during the year. at hawii i hadnt had a very good swim so kevin caught me early. ill always remember what he said to me…what are you doing back here, he says. this made me so mad i have never ridden so hard or since ridden harder. so hard that i caught the second pack at hawi only to blow up soon after. i latter found out that kevin had been dq from the race for drafting. the only dq of the day…and yes, after i blew he was soon to pass.

Amazing times by these three great athletes. In fact across the board in the age-group ranks from what I have seen the times were amazing. It does really show that if you get the right day and you can do well in the heat, IMH is a “fast” course. I am sure that many age-group athletes set huge PB’s

folks are clearly jealous of Moatsie.
But not of the other two???

what is the St Croix story? spill it

Bonness is only 50? Wow, he looks much older!

Yes, and he hates puppies and kittens and eats Babies. And the worst of sins, he drafts!

I didn’t know about the puppy thing–that’s bad.

Sue - glad you got the chance to come out to Kona! Hope you enjoyed the VIP passes - Joe had a GREAT race. I announced him at the hot corner and he was about 3 min. behind Kevin - Joe needed about two more miles to make it a race. - see you back in Florida. Z
