I am traveling to SD on Wed for the Camp Pendelton Tri on the 14th. Im staying in the Sea World area and want to get in an easy 7 AM swim (30 min) and Bike ride (45 min). Is Ocean beach a good spot for the swim or should I just go to Mission. Ideas for the Ride? Isn’t there a good tri/bike shop in the area? Which is a must go to?

I used to live 1 mile away from Fiesta Island and Mission Bay, and you couldn’t pay me to swim in that water. I’d go farther north and swim in La Jolla Cove. Better water, it’s protected, and you’ll have lots of company.
