Anyone know where I can find current water temps?
Mirror Lake near the Wisconsin Dells? Last weekend the water temperature was 74 degrees.

I had a friend up there this past weekend, and she said it was 62-63F and it didn’t feel cold. I also heard the lake temperature raises quickly from June to July from low 60s to low 70s.
I swam with a QR Fullsuit at Tupper Lake this weekend and I was fine (~30 miles from LP Mirror Lake). I swam in Mirror Lake LP on June 10th with the Fullsuit and neoprene cap and I was fine. Many buddies swam that day with just Fullsuits and were OK. By race day, you’ll cook in a fullsuit. If you want a fast bike-run split on July 25th, give away 2 min in the swim so you don’t dehydrated and go with sleeveless on race day.
i was there yesterday and while I didn’t swim, I put my feet in. I’d say it was in the 60’s. It didn’t feel much different than tupper lake which was 68 or so. There were 6 or so triathletes swimming while I was there and some with sleeveless suits . The water is warm. Come on in.
I just spent a whole week in LP. Swimming with wets suit was just nice. Even without a wetsuit, 20 min. were no problem. And I usually get even cold in a pool.
One day we had lunch at the shore, and a scuba diver slowly emerges from the water. He rescued a canoe from a last years ship wrecking. This was a weird thing to see.

As of this morning it was 67 at the dock, but I bet it was a couple of degrees less out by the turnaround. Swam 2 loops with a sleeveless and was pretty comfortable. I ended up wearing a cap, thought about going without, got started, but after a minute or so my ears were ringing a little, so I went and got one.
