Thanks in advance!
Looking to get rid of the CO2 cartridges and carry an electric bike pump. I just started reviewing several and can go down a rabbit hole.
What do you use and why? Any attachments, etc needed?
Thanks!

I use the Fumpa with the extension hose https://r2-bike.com/FUMPA-PUMPS-extension-hose-for-Fumpa-Bike-Pump
I couldn’t get it to work properly without the extension, especially on my disk wheel.
Be aware that the extension only works on the normal Fumpa, not the mini Fumpa.
BTW: do you plan to carry it really during the race? I will only use it for a last minute check before the start, I would never carry it with me during the race. The normal Fumpa is way too big for that imo.

Agree the normal Fumpa would be to big and heavy.
Why couldn’t u get it to work without the extension? I’ve never had any problems?
Mine worked fine with disc wheel also.
And no way would I carry that during the race.
Slightly off topic, but I’d recommend a manual micropump if you want to ditch the CO2. They will be lighter, and can inflate multiple tires. They are not fast (something like 300 pumps for a 25c tire), but will get you to T2. For longer races I have a CO2 to quickly fix a single flat, and a micropump so I don’t DNF if I get multiple flats.
Something like the Blackburn AirStik SL or Topeak Rocket Al.

Fumpa changed things around on the most recent version of the pump, and the full-size version now has the same form factor as the mini, with the pump head solidly affixed to the top of the pump. That isn’t going to work with most disc wheels.
This is probably what I experienced. (edit: I checked and I have the old version. The new one seems indeed impossible for a disc wheel)
I bought mine recently and it was a pain to use with my disc wheel. But maybe it also has to do with my specific disc wheel. It has a cut out on one side of the wheel but is closed on the other side and the pump head is a bit too large (thick) to fit it over the valve properly. I guess you won’t have this problem when there is a hole in the disc wheel that goes through on both sides of the wheel like f.e. a Zipp disc. (I hope you get what I mean).
Yup. The old version was hit or miss for disc wheels, the new one is pretty close to a categorical “no”. But never say never, as if I wrote that someone would undoubtedly post up with their n=1 exception.
