Who here lives in Milwaukee???
Live in wauwatosa. just started tris last year after 12 years of bike racing. Did 4:43 in Racine last year, 12 hrs in IMMOO after fading in the heat. Did 4:42 HIM at High Cliff this year and did alright in duathlon in Appleton and a sprint in Pewaukee. Will do Oshkosh and Pleasant Prairie in august, then US HIM championships in Kansas City in Sept. how about you? Are you on the east side? I go there to do the Rainbow Ride on Wednesdays occasionally, and will do so tomorrow. how about you?

I do live on the east side. I swam for UWM this last year and had to take this year off the destructive d-1 swim team training schedule to let my shoulder heal. I am doing tris now because i used to bike race and i ran track and xc throughout middle school and high school. I am the VP over at UWM of the cycling club too. I am still developing my cycling a little more than the other two legs of the tri. What is the pace on this rainbow jersey ride, i might be able to hop along over there tomorrow? Im looking to get in tip top shape for the pleasant prairie olympic race also, it will be my first olym. dist. I would like to see how i would fare at that dist, as it is the collegiate dist. Im training to move up to half IM and than eventually IM wisconsin.
I live in West Allis.
Waukesha, soon Hartland. Work downtown. I also go to UWM as a grad student.
Try out the Doc Ride from the Bicycle Doctor in Dousman. Ridiculously fun, ridiculously hard. I’ve been dropped each time I show up, but I like it enough to go back every other week or so.
Hmm, doc ride sounds fun. Have you heard of a ride that goes to port washington? I heard there is one and they ave a pretty fast pace. A nice 80 miler. We should go out for a ride or run sometime. Just pm me if you feel up to it, ill do the same.
did it this past saturday. pace wasn’t too bad as the state TT was the next day. pace should be slowing down as the only real USCF races left are state crit and Downers Grove. I was able to take 2nd in two of the sprints, and I am doing HIM’s this year. That should be an indication that the tempo is not too great. The Port Ride is the Wednesday Rainbow ride. The pace picks up by Concordia and remains hard to and from Port Washington with sprints at Port and Mequon road. The ride is hard when guys from Endevour (pro and cat 1 amateur guys) show up. Otherwise, not too bad to sit in. Good luck at Pleasant Prairie. Will be my first race there as well providing that I don’t blow the coals out too hard at the Oshkosh tri.

What time does the rainbow ride leave on wednesdays?
love to train with someone, but… i’m a poser. right now i’m not even maintaning fitness. Work is hectic and my wife and I are building a house. No time for anything really. Note the time of this post. It’s being made from work. Sweet.
Thanks for the offer though. Look around for a guy in a Miller Brewing Company jersey. It’ll probably be me.
4 p.m. from Atwater Park at the end of Capitol. 4 p.m. is bike racer time, meaning 4:10.
