Box was already opened. Trek doesn’t use tape on their boxes, they glue the tops.

I really really hope no one bids on this. I know people are stupid, but if someone buys this, it take stupidity to an entirely new level.

If I remember right, I think that bike simply congeals into existance from piles of scrap CF Trek has lying around, then is delivered to the shop on a golden chariot pulled by George Hincapie, and Roberto Heras - no need for a box.

I emailed Ebay and suggested they investigate because (1) no images of a $8,000+ bike, (2) other posters comments about seller not being able to open the box (3) $999 opening bid and no reserve on a bike that retails for well over $5,000!

there have been a lot of scams on ebay lately. I get emails all the time asking me to click a link to ‘verify’ my account. they look very very real

I clicked it once, logged in, and voila I gave the hackers my ebay passwd.

at least i didn’t give them my paypal passwd

they had 3 bogus items listed under my account

felt like a fool but believe me the email looked very authentic
