Mid Day Bricks hurt so good

Well seeing as my training partner and I by virtue of being old farts and always being in the latter waves figure mid day heat is where we will always be racing so why not train for it. I can hurt him on the bike and he puts the hurt right back on me on the run arrggh today was good: 1 hr all out bike on a hilly course followed by a 4 1/2 mile run with my partner goading me to pick up the pace the whole time, temp was 85 degrees.

I think i’m going to go hurl now

Way to go, Eric. Sounds like a great workout for a triathlete at any age. I certainly need more workouts in the heat, but it probably won’t happen.

At our age, we just have to make sure we give ourselves plenty of recovery time after such workouts.
