Microsoft Outlook Problem

There’s plenty of smart computer people here so I thought I’d give this is a try…

Can someone help with my Outlook (outlook express 6 - 2004)? Every time I try and send an attached PDF file I get a bunch of ‘delivery has failed’ messages back. It looks like when I send the email it is being broken up into pieces, depending on the size of the PDF I’m sending, and the diagnostic says the domain does not accept fragmented messages. Anybody have any thoughts? Thanks for any help.

How large is the pdf?

i take it it’s not your domain that it says does not accept fragmented messages?

anyway, the pdf is probably too large. call whoever manages your smtp/pop server for confirmation.

you can spend 10 minutes on hold + 10 minutes on a call, or wait for a response here.

i wonder which will get the problem solved faster…

or, you know, you could google it.

Remote host said: 571 Domain does not accept fragmented messages - psmtp

This Postini-generated (psmtp) message will appear if the message destined for the user has ‘fragments’. This may be due to corruption of a legitimate message on transmission. Or a malicious attachment. Some mail clients will ‘split’ large attachments into multiple parts (example - a 15M attachment into 3 messages with 5M attachments). Postini blocks these messages as potential security risks .
