If she hangs on to win this, does she deserve the title of best overall (any gender) of all time? If not, best overall woman?
Two IM’s, and looking like two victories…
First time at Kona, looking like the first since LVL and the first woman to pull of a rookie win
Olympic Silver
Numerous ITU WC…
Alcatraz titles up the wazoo
More outright wins than most people have done races.
If she wins today, is she better than Mark Allen and/or Simon Lessing, who would currently seem to hold the rank of “Greatest of All Time.”
She’s late to the IM game, though. I mean, she moved up to IM and immediately dominated… She has longevity in all other aspects of her career. I am talking best OVERALL. Not best overall IM racer.
Rappster, best all time over all distances without a doubt is Erin Baker. If Michelle can do two Kona wins, she moves past Erin. PNF and Natasha have no short course success compared to either Erin and Michelle.
She has been winning races for almost 20 years. She has won everything in the short course world (except olympics). Nobody has been as dominant in short course racing. She IS the greatest female short course triathlete ever. A win here, and a couple of more IMs (maybe another Hawaii win) and you can put her right up there with PNF.
