Anyone doing the Miami Man Half IM? I saw where it was rescheduled to 11/21 so I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on the event.
I take it that the gross elevation gain on this course is around 15 feet ?
A bridge overpass is like Alpe d’Huez in south florida.
Hey some of those bridges over the Intercoastal can be darned steep little hills, and can go up like 40-50 feet into the air!
Hell yeah, that was our hill repeats for high school xc, and they were much higher than 50 feet (like 100 feet maybe
). Hill repeats and carbon monoxide, beautiful.
Back on topic though, I don’t believe the Miami Man course goes over the causeways.
I live in Orlando so the flats are my home turf. Luckily we are pretty close to the “hills of Clermont” so I do get a few inclines that aren’t bridges but nothing like the rest of the country.
I was mainly curious if people thought if the event was nicely done and would do it again. Thanks
