Merrell shoes for working out and running

Hi, does anyone workout (Strength training or other indoor gym activities) with the bare access or do you also use the trail shoes too? I want to replace my Vibram 5 fingers with some Merrell and want to see what people have used. I am tempted to use something like the maipo walking shoes too. Interested to hear what people think. Thanks.

No strength training with them necessairly speaking - but Merrell all the way.

Have trail, bare access, vapor gloves. All slightly different uses.

Love the minimalism - without looking like a “freak” ;p

I’ve done virtually all my running in the Merrell Bare Access for years, including all my triathlons up to IM distance.
I also have Merrell Trail Gloves and Vaypors which I also like but haven’t used in a while. I prefer the Bare Access for most road running.

Ok what about at the gym?

My experience only applies to the “Merrell shoes for… …and running” part of your query.
I think they would work well but haven’t used them for that purpose.

I have a pair of Flux Glove shoes that I wear most of the time for weightlifting. I’ve had them forever, not sure if they even make that model anymore, but I like them for a minimal strength training shoe. I can’t run in them though, I need more shoe underfoot.

I have a pair of Hykes Flex barefoot shoes, awesome workout shoes and perfect for leg day.

I also got some Altra running shoes

These were all time. But they stopped making them. Impossible to find now. I use only for races.

I had a pair of their trail running shoes, used them for hiking. Started falling apart right away. I’ve had better life and wear with Adidas Tennex.

I wear Merrell shoes for work (composite toe safety shoes), and I wear the Moab for walking, hiking, shopping at Costco and nearly all things everyday. I have a pair of black waterproof Merrells for officiating swim events. For running I wear Altras currently. I love Merrell’s line of shoes for a lot of things.
