Mechanical Bar End Shifters 11 speed: Shimano, or Sram or Microshift?

I am looking to buy bar end shifters. In the past, I went with Microshift and I was happy with them
Now, with 11 speed the price difference in Shimano and Microshift is just $2, they are about $80
The Sram 11 speed is about $95

Did you use any of them? and What would you choose for mechanical group?

Thanks

Just FYI…SRAM bar ends won’t work with anything except SRAM rear derailleurs…so if you have Shimano RD, you choice is either Shimano or Microshift.

I’m using MicroShift 11s with Dura Ace 9000 currently and they work great. 2 reason why I am running them over Shimano:

  1. Got them new from classifieds for 1/3 less of the price of new Shimano 11 speed shifters (at that time not a lot of used 11s TT shifters were on the classifieds).
  2. You don’t have to worry about the inner sub-assembly coming apart if there isn’t sufficient cable tension to keep it together. (Something I’ve read about but never experienced first hand).

I imagine there wouldn’t be any difference (if any noticeable) between either bar end shifter though.

Which derailleurs do you have on your bike?

I have no derailleurs yet. Planning to install Ultegra 6800 or 5800

Then you can’t use SRAM shifters.

Once you use Microshift bar end shifters you won’t want to go back to anything else. More so if you install them yourself - they are so simple compared to Shimano.

I’d say rethink your RD choice and go SRAM Force or Red RD w/SRAM R2C shifters.
