Matt reed training video

Nice video. Glad to see he pulls on the lane line in backstroke like the rest of us mortals (see 1:20 mark). Now I can feel a little less guilty about it . . .

Ite, glad someone else saw that too- Very funny. Seems like a pretty cool guy. I saw him after the 70.3 championship in Clearwater this past year. He was pushing around the baby stroller just moments after he crossed the finish line. Always nice to see these guys appear “normal” like the rest of us.

Yeah, because there aren’t many tall, good, IM runners.

The more you post, the more crap you spew. Less quanitity, more quality there buddy boy.

I’m as tall as matty, been running competitively for 8 years, I can maybe get 6 inches off the ground if I’m lucky…no dunking.

Why do you mention tall, good, IM runners? Vertical refers to vertical leap.

Lots of our pros are very humble, down-to-earth people and Matt Reed consistently seems to epitomize that even with his great success. Very cool guy.

I still can’t fathom how a dude that big (and heavy) can run so friggin’ fast. You’d think it would be a handicap for him, but clearly it’s not.

His brother Shane still races for NZ I believe (although I could be wrong, in which Bigmattyreed will attack me again for my imperfect memory
.

he prolly gets a couple inches just for general pro athlete status =)

i just wanted to quote this out of context for humor and posterity…

(not to mention, but i am, you used the ‘word’ “prolly” in a pseudo sentence.)

vertical is a word used to describe how high one can jump off the ground, not how tall someone is.
