Mark Allen's new book

Not sure if this has been posted up, didn’t see anything in a search. Mark is a great old friend of mine and he is using some real cutting edge marketing to release his new book. It is at kick starter and there is a limited edition of the book signed. Know a few of you are mark fans so maybe something for your brick and mortar library.

Thanks for that. I have vowed to back off intense training, bike collecting etc., after October, and I can tell that my wife, who has been incredibly supportive through the process, is bracing herself for whatever I throw myself into next. I can already see the look on her face when the print shows up. Art collecting might actually make triathlon look good by comparison.

No problem, and it looks like you are not alone. I checked his total before I posted this up and it was 4 k exactly. Almost 2 k added to that already, go st’ers!!

I’m a fan of Mark and the book looks good. I posted the site on my Facebook wall.

Mark Allen is an iconic Ironman legend. Just to make it clear for others, especially young triathletes, his new book is comprised of 90 motivational quotations and tranquility photos. It appears to be more of a “coffee table” book without a special focus on the triathlon, sort of Mark Allen meets George Harrison. Older, experienced competitors will likely see the zen in it.

So great to see how people are reacting to this book! I ‘backed’ this project yesterday and I think I was #24, but it is already at 43 backers. Mark Allen is a legend in our industry and I truly hope the money is raised to produce the prints and book.

Ya he doesn’t know that I posted this up,just thought some here might be interested. Looks like I will be calling him though for my steak dinner commission from all you out there flooding his site…

I think Kickstarter is a great avenue for fund raising. First participated in Kickstarter with The Square from Clean Bottle and then several craft breweries. I may not have always agreed with Mark on training practices but I have always respected him very much.

Well technically I saw it from Angela Naeth (ie Angela Duncan’s) tweets… lol

But yes tell him from all of us great job!!
