I’ll be traveling next week from VA to NH for work and would like to get a couple swims in. Anyone have reccomendation for pools in the area that allow drop in swimmer? Thanks-Pete
I swim at the workout club and wellness center. There’s one in salem, derry, Manchester, Londonderry. I mostly swim with our masters team at the salem location. I haven’t been to the Manchester location. We swim at 6am for 1:15 mon-wed-fri. Not sure if you have a car but I’m sure there’s more pools in Manchester too. Also at salem you can always get a lane since its a huge pool if you went during the day or after work.

Are you actually in Manchester? If so, you dont want to go all the way to salem.
There is a Y in Manchester, my MIL has used it on a daily basis (http://www.graniteymca.org/), there is also another club you could call ahead and ask (http://executivefitness.phantomclubs.com/index.html).
There is also some open water potential within a few minutes drive here (271 Elm St, Goffstown, NH 03045).
If you’re on the outskirts, I’d have different recommendations.
There is usually a group on M,W, F at 11:45 at the Manchester YMCA. You can also swim there at other times, but I would look up the lap schedule to see when lap swim is. If you want to drive, you can also go to Goffstown YMCA. The pool is nicer. Not sure what either charges for drop ins. If you want OWS, you can swim Glen Lake in Goffstown before 9am. Park on north side on Elm street near boat launch. there is usually someone there at 6am. I havent been in a while though.
