Maintenance question regarding OBED fork crown (and similar)

I got a new OBED GVR and have been riding it plenty and in all types of weather. Nothing particularly muddy though. I love it but have seen the paint wear off immediately from the top face of the fork crown that lines up under the seat tube and behind the steerer tube. If you imagine looking down from the riding position you cant see the affected face if the bars are straight ahead, but if you steer right or left it sticks out to the opposite side. The issue is obviously cause by road dirt getting flicked into the small gap below the affected face and the bottom face of the head tube and grinding there through my ride.

Annoying cosmetic issue, or indicative of some sort of set-up issue? There’s zero play in the front-end at all and everything feels fine.
