Madfiber Clinchers

Yeah, yeah, yeah… I know about the ST objections to Madfiber wheels and the soap opera threads of the past. However I still find their approach interesting and unique. check out their execution of a clincher. Really slick IMO…

Thanks for the link. That is pretty slick!

wouldn’t putting on that extra track either

#1. make the rim way too large to fit a 700c wheel on

#2. with it off, make the wheel wayy to small for a 700 tubular?

Picture 3 in the link… I can’t upload it through tinypic…

it goes ‘inside’ not ‘on top’

I love these wheels. All you haters can suckit. They are awesome. I don’t see a lip on these clinchers to hold the bead…just looks smooth.

  1. I’m not a hater

B. Read the article

Finally: I hope you’re not telling me to suck it

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

What jack said… That’s a photo of someone holding the aluminum clincher extrusion insert on top of a tubular wheel. The Alu insert replaces what’s ‘between’ the brake tracks on the tubular.

These are great wheels. I think they are better suited to road bikes for an everyday wheel. I think there are better options for TT bikes in that $ range.

When the clinchers come out I’m on it.

Everyone knows clinchers are faster than tubulars :-).
