… at the Official Press Conference Thursday morning. Sorry if this was already posted - I din’t see it.
There was an empty seat between Faris and Normann, with several jokes made about it; but, apparently, the gamesmanship and head games continue. Desiree still looks just happy to be at the “Big Dance;” while Michellie is the consummate controlled and PC professional. Jo Lawn looks very strong, with added confidence after her sub 9-hour Germany race. Otherwise, just a good photo session.
If I was in the same boat, I would pull a no show as well. At this point why get into it more. The fact that they sat him in the middle of those two is just hoping for something to happen. I think he made the right decision with the no show. I can not wait for the smackdown tomorrow.
so telling the world he was ready to race fast all year long and then banging out a 7:54 at ROTH isn’t walking the walk??? What did Norman do this summer… oh yea he DNFed at IM Germany.
I don’t understand why that would make you happy. That’s just strange.
Could you imagine yourself sitting across from him at a coffee shop and saying, “Macca, I hope you DNF tomorrow. Actually, I’ll probably toast your DNF if given the opportunity.”

Absolutely, just as I use my real name when I post statements on an internet forum.
I like the move. Nothing good could come out of him sitting up there. Granted they are 2 completely different sports but look at the boxing press conferences. It is just an invitation for trouble
I liked this comment from Norman’s interview, pretty much says it all as to trash talking…
ST: What do you think about the comments of McCormack after last year’s race?
Normann: Was there something? FYI, in a previous interview he said he wouldn’t need 7 years to win in Hawaii, but 2007 is his 7th year. No further comment needed.
