Anyone know the course? The website is very small with very little info. I’ll be there at that time & have been asked to do the bike portion but would like to know what the course is.
I think it is flat and windy.
Kinda figured as much. I’d like to replicate it locally just for a basic training ride. Anyone have a map of the course?
Hi
the bike is by the water for a good part of it 17 .6miles
It is hot this time of year and very flat
I have done the race quite a few times
hope to see you
Thom.
Hot is what I keep hearing! Not my personal fav but still sounds like fun. Pretty hot here in SoCal, off & on, guess we’ll see how bad it hurts. What are you riding? I’ll keep my eyes open.
“What are you riding? I’ll keep my eyes open.”
blue Fort uno fixed gear.
I set up the bike transition for the race.(the wood stakes and plastic ribbons and bike racks)
yes I know very glamorous ha ha
You staying by the water ??
Thom
Yes, Family have a couple cottages just a couple miles north of town on the water. Visited last year for the first time. The whole area is beautiful. If we do the race i’ll likely bring my funnybike. Obviously the race is more fun than serious but I always try to do my best.
there is a nice 100 mile bike route
If you got time you might enjoy
80 % is on the lake or river
nice roads and not to much traffic
It goes by a light house and a buffalo ranch
very nice ride
you can look across the St. Lawerence river and see the dark side (Canada) ha ha
have a great time and enjoy your visit
Thom
That would be interesting. You have a map of that route? & are there any decent bike shops in the area?
pro bike shop is the only one in town
they don’t have any new bikes in the shop
he just fixes them
the bike shop sponsors the ride
he has the route sheet
the ride is marked on the road with spray paint
it is easy to follow they repaint it every year
it loops around so you can ride 25,50,75, 100 miles
pm me when you get in town if you need info
Thom.
Great, Thanks!
