IMO, not cool to have the Yates bros. (or anyone else not in the actual race) on the course. They basically added so much HP to the break that none of the other women had a prayer of catching Lucy and Emma. Made the race a joke.

If she rides Kona at 80% of that number, that’s around 230W…that gets you up the road really fast on her relatively lightweight body. Putting her swim technique aside, that massive engine is also part of her crazy fast swims at Kona.

is she that light? she is pretty tall if I recall. my wife is 5’2" 120lb and has done 85min half mary. but bike a different story

Not following your logic, how does this make them look good? IF anything, they should understand the mess they made of an actual event, and be more in tune with their disruption of it. Quite frankly, it should be the opposite with male pros, they should have a better understanding than the average wannnabeee, and act accordingly.
It should also be on Zwift there too, they need to figure out how to close these types of events, especially if they want us all to watch and enjoy them on a competitive level.
During the race on the zwift channel people were saying there was no drafting advantage with those not in the race. So Lucy didn’t get to draft the Yates’ but they could draft her. Not sure if there’s any truth to that.
Watched the video - to me the Yates bros tarnished the event, regardless of any drafting advantage or not. They should be embarassed and appologize those who were racing.

Yeah, this is what I was gonna ask. I dont think zwift tells people outside the race that there is a race, I suspect they just thought they were tagging along on a hard training session or something. This is 100% on zwift, it shouldn’t even be an option to see outside riders during a race like that

I would’ve thought so, but in the race we’re talking about, you could see everyone. Might be an option when setting up the event, and they just kinda screwed up. Cant really see why you’d want that as an option though
