Got this email on January 12th:

I rec’d an updated email this week that delivery of the Vorttice helmet to LG was delayed and they expect to receive them from the factory (or whatever) on Feb. 16th and will ship to customers at that point.
Did you ever get your helmet? First impressions?
I’ve had the helmet for 2 weeks now and it’s pretty sweet. The fit is good and I like the removable visor that comes with it. The quality seems very good but there’s 2 foot of snow where I live so no outside riding yet:(

Haven’t received it yet. I guess I should have ordered one from Trisports. Who knew they’d be faster than LG themselves. 
Rec’d an email from LG today saying that it shipped. Anyone expecting their lid from LG can expect it soon.
So… What’s the latest on the Vorrtice?
Ordered a size small online. They said the smalls hadn’t come in as of last week, but this week they arrived and its on the way. Let’s see if its worth the hype…

I got mine earlier this week. It’s a size M. Haven’t used it yet.
First thoughts:
- It’s bulbous. It has dimples. I look like Tiger Woods might want to tee me up and drive me 350 yards.
- I wish they had a different visor option than clear. I live in Texas and it’s very sunny. I’m sure a shaded version or two are coming but I might have to wear sunglasses under the visor until that time.
- It’s pretty darn light for an aero helmet.
What size do you normally wear on helmets? When you say bulbous, do you mean that for a medium it looks like a large - or that it simply looks really large regardless of size?

It fits fine. It just looks huge.
That’s not good news for me because I normally use an 61 cm circumference helmet which is an L/XL so this thing will look huge.

I wore it on my 4 hour ride today and I have to change sizes to a small. The M is too big for me as it turns out. Off to the classifieds I go…
What color did you get and what size helmet do you normally wear. Trying to decide on these. Thanks
Fits the same as the LG rocket, shell width and height are the same between the two. The Vorttice looks bigger because it is white. BTW… bigger helmets are actually testing faster than smaller helmets in the tunnel, the Bell TT that helmet Frank Schleck wore at Criterium, Intl has that bigger look to it as well.
Are you saying that their size chart is incorrect, i.e. you measured your head, ordered the correct size from their chart, but it’s still the wrong size? I’m thinking of getting one of these myself, but I’m only 3/4" above the top of the range for a small, so wouldn’t want to order a medium if I could fit a small.
Don’t try to wedge yourself into a smaller helmet, a bigger one will actually be faster. Been proven in the tunnel and field tests.
Big is not always better… From what you are saying it may be faster, but at the cost of a possible brain injury in case of an accident. Coming from a motorcycle background, I am more conscious of fit when it comes to helmets and looser helmets have more transfer energy, hence more brain damage. I tend to be the lower end of the Medium, and think for a hat size I have been right around 57, so trying to figure out if these are running a bit on the large size which would put me right on the cusp of a Sm and a Large.
