After OLDSLOWDOC posted his “Safety Question” thread earlier today about wearing helmets it prompted me to think about the Louis Garneau Ozzy Helmet I was wearing the dreadful day 7 weeks ago that a hit and run motorist tried to end my life. Anyway, the inner shell is cracked and I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not Louis Garneau had a crash replacement policy for their helmets?
My wife went down on a slick piece of road about 6 weeks ago and seperated her shoulder in the crash. Also cracked her helmet in 4 places. I think there is a staute of limitations on how long you have had the helmet, but hers was only 4 months old.
We emailed LG and they sent me instructions to take it back to the shop and take the email from them with me. I did and they handed me a new one right there. Charged me $20 for shipping and handling becuase LG wants the crashed one back to anaylize.
Absolutely the most hassle free warranty return I have even done. Kudos to LG for their fast response.
