Looking for some healing vibes

Here I was all feeling sorry for myself after getting hit by a car (while walking no less) last Monday…feeling crappy that the driver waited until I was loaded into an ambulance then left before the police arrived leaving me without recourse for any costs…then I get an email from a good tri friend of mine who, because of a mysterious back injury, had to cancel his whole tri season this year. Seems they found part of the reason. He’d been suffering from a rare form of leukemia that had been pressing on some nerves in his lower spine. He found out for sure late May and has gone a few rounds with this infernal shit with chemo in his corner. He’s not out of the woods until his follow up says it’s all clear and there has been talk of some radiation in his future just to be sure it hasn’t spread.
Sort of puts my troubles in some perspective.
So…if you all have the time and inclination to send out some of your healing mojo I could use it…but more than me you could send it to long time forum member Orcaman. Get better buddy…it aint the same racing without you.
And Go Lance!

Now I’ve feeling guilty for my previous crybabying on the board about a month long cough/chest infection that I had. I’m over it now and getting back on form, but sincerely hope it works out for your friend (and you too!)

Our prayers are with him.

You get healed up and I hope your friend kicks the crap out of that leukemia soon.

Thanks  I really appreciate all the support and friends that have helped me through this first round of Chemotherapy. Let me tell you this is one horrid disease. I am lucky that I was in such good shape going into this (thank goodness for that Computrainer I got for Christmas and the 2000 plus km’s of riding I did in Jan to March …the doctors told me my conditioning enabled them to give heavier doses of chemo. Triathlon will be what saves me.

I am fighting on …gotta root for Lance now …if he can beat it and do what he is doing …so can I …can’t wait to be back racing next year

“LIVESTRONG” …and live life to the fullest

Cheers

Orcaman

I am sending any positive JUJU I have your way man. I got hurt this past week, but it’s nothing compared to what you’re going through. I can’t say how much we are all behind you and want you to beat this.

GET BETTER!

Jason

PS - Once this is all over, I would like nothing better than to hear you complain about a bad workout.
